Yep, looks excellent now. It's definitely a worthwhile article now. Thank you, dpbsmith. GeorgeStepanek\talk 20:37, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Also, the pictures rock. ZacharyS 01:56, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
- I had fun. Well worth the $2 or whatever it cost to buy a jar of chipped beef in the supermarket. I ate it, too. Last time I had eaten it was about two decades ago. I think it will be no hardship to wait another two decades before trying it again. Dpbsmith (talk) 02:36, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
I didn't feel it was necessary to mention this in the article, but we have chipped beef available in diners all over central Pennsylvania and Maryland. Rufusgriffin
SOS abbreviation going unexplained?
[edit]Hey there!
Had a change reverted explaining the unabbreviated SOS acronym, which is "shit on a shingle" in common parlance, removed as vandalism and otherwise being nonconstructive, it would otherwise go undefined.
According to Andrewa/Wikipedia is not vulgar, GTFO (song) by Mariah Carey explains defines the vulgar abbreviation in the title, and so on. The term is common, and according to wp:offensive material "In original Wikipedia content, a vulgarity or obscenity should either appear in its full form or not at all;". I'm happy to see SOS removed if needs be on the account of this Plebiano (talk) 17:27, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
